According to the PAC's most recent financial statement ending September 30, 2010, the Limited Government PAC has collected in sum total $55,600 in campaign donations.
Of this total, Bob Kowell, proponent and spokesman for the PAC, has personally contributed $48,000. The balance of the contributions comes from Jean Kowell (aka Bob) in the amount of $1,000, the Murrieta-Temecula Republican group (aka Bob) in the amount of $1,700, with the remainder of $4,900 received from miscellaneous sources.

On top of all the lies and mis-information Kowell and the other proponents have dished out, on top of the personal contribution to “his” candidate Douglas V. Gibbs and PAC contribution to "his" candidate Emilia Rychener, who both do nothing more than walk in the footsteps of Kowell's lies and mis-information, and, on top of the fact Kowell as president of the Murrieta-Temecula group ups the anti with Temecula money, does anyone see a problem with lone individual contributing over $50,000 to insure the Murrieta ballot measures C, D and E pass? I do, and so should anyone else.
Another potential problem observed in the PAC's financial reports is the exchange of funds between the PAC and the Murrieta-Temecula group, where one donates to the other, then the recipient donates it back. Some might consider this money laundering.
From this point of view,
it appears the proponents are trying to buy their way into city hall.

Measures C, D and E are bad for Murrieta.
Vote NO across the board.
C, D and E are excellant measure and very good for this community. C sets term limits. We all want term limits in Washington DC and the same should be here. We do not need career politicians ruining this city.
ReplyDeleteYes on D means the city council does not get the freebies and trips to Las Vegas with their families on the taxpayers. And free benifits like: :An earlier version of this column incorrectly reported when Murrieta City Council members stopped eating dinner paid for by the city on meeting days. The practice ended months ago, Councilman Gary Thomasian said." (Press Enterprise July 26,2010). Why such a large budget of of 255,895 for the City Council? There is no breakdwon on the Murrieta web site either.
YES on E - According to the Murrieta Web site, the City Manager makes $210,011, but the League of Cities posted his salary as $241,618. A 10 percent raise was given and then a 5% cut was taken. The figures do not add up. Take the League of Cities w2 posting and then take a 5% cut, it comes out to $234,287.10. The figures do not add up! We were told the contract between the city and City Manager is posted on the Murrieta web site. I spent one hour and cannot find it. I conclude it is not there or hidden so no one can find it. Yes several city council people told me it was there.
As far as Bob Kowell, attack the one honest caring person to cover up the salaries and compensation. Bob is doing a good thing for this city.
If this kind of garbage is running the city or supporting the city council, it tells me we have one major problem here in Murrieta.

ReplyDeleteSenator Ray Haynes endorses all three initiatives. Senator Haynes is a very conservative, honest person.
ReplyDeleteHow DARE our ARROGANT city council members act as if they are above reproach....what have they done for us EXACTLY??!!!! NOTHING!! I am in complete support of Mr. Kowell and these initiatives--I worked for a company for 34 years and took paycut after paycut according to the economy. Are these "servants in public office who work for us" even looking at what is going on all around us???!!!!! NO...people losing jobs, losing homes-------VOTE THEM OUT NOW!!!!! WE NEED NEW CITY COUNCIL WITH NEW IDEAS...VOTE THEM OUT!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe same people who are opposed to these initiatives must of support the RINO Mary Bono who voted for Cap and Trade, Tarp, the Stimulas, the Mustang bill which was a land grab and stopped natural gas drilling in Wyoming, Montana, Washington and Idaho. Also shut down 1000's of jobs. Oh yes, she also voted for the Brown Shirt bill - the same one as Hitler used to destroy Germany.
ReplyDeleteAnyone with brains and fed up with politicians will vote YES on C, D, and E. It is very good for the city that is broke - Murrieta!

ReplyDeleteSenator Chuck DeVore and Senator Ray Haynes both endorse the three Murrieta Initiatives - C, D and E.
ReplyDeleteThese Initiatives were turned in two years ago to go on the ballot. This was the year they hired a temporary City Manager at $300,000 a year plus benefits. The city council sat on them until they had to put them on the ballot.
ReplyDeleteVoting Yes on C, D, and E will NOT hurt seniors, police or fire as the City Council is trying to tell you.
Read what the Californian said:
The three incumbents have helped shepherd the city through some tough economic times, shaving more than $7 million off the city budget, while protecting the city's emergency reserves and its police and fire services. The job is not complete, though. More cuts undoubtedly lie ahead, and some creative thinking will be needed to keep them from cutting too deeply into essential services.
