Recall (s) in the wind

The recent winds are blowing in multiple threats of recall.

Bob Kowell’s group is saying recall of the council if they don’t enact measures C, D and E swiftly.

Nancy Knight is saying recall of the council if they tweak the general plan against her wishes.

Measure E - [ the consequences of compression ]

The Facts:

• If passed, Measure E would limit the total compensation of the City Manager and the direct reports to 2.5 times the median family/household income.

Measure E - [ cheap is not always cheap ]

     The proponents of Measure E say Murrieta’s City Manager pay is in the top 18% of all the State. This is true.

Measure E - [ Murrieta's City Manager pay not so bad afterall ]

     Some will say, according to the League of Cities 2009 earnings report, Murrieta's City Manager pay is in the top 20% of the state.
 

Measures C, D & E - [ Consider the Source ]

     According to the PAC's most recent financial statement ending September 30, 2010, the Limited Government PAC has collected in sum total $55,600 in campaign donations.
